What is Deconstruction?
Deconstruction is the removal of reusable building items to be sold at the ReStore. Deconstruction reduces the disposal of usable materials into landfills and provides affordable materials for renovation and smaller-scale construction projects.

Renovate Sarasota, LLC recently formed a strategic alliance with Habitat for Humanity of Sarasota, Inc. Renovate Sarasota members pledge to offer Habitat for Humanity and Habitat’s ReStore the first right of refusal on salvageable items removed from customer locations. With customer’s permission, items may be removed and donated or Habitat staff may assist in the extraction of salable building materials.
